Update the Desktop Version of Storable CRM (CallPotential)

Storable CRM

Keeping your Storable CRM (CallPotential) desktop app up to date ensures you benefit from the latest security fixes, performance improvements, and reliability enhancements.

Quick start:
1. Close Storable CRM, including the system tray icon.
2. Check your current desktop version from the CallPotential icon.
3. Download the correct installer based on your version.
4. Run the installer and confirm that your version has updated.


Before you begin

If you have never downloaded the desktop version, see our help article for instructions on downloading and installing the software for the first time.

Some companies require their IT personnel to install software. If you are not sure you have permission to download or install software, contact your IT department before proceeding.

If you have ad-blocking software or a firewall at your location, you may need to whitelist our URL (sys.callpotential.com) to access the web app. Contact your IT department if you are unsure how to do this or if you do not have access to make these changes. Update your Storable CRM desktop app

Step 1: Close your current session of Storable CRM

Before installing a new version of Storable CRM, completely exit the desktop software.

Important: If you do not close the software before updating, you may see installation errors.

1. Click the Show hidden icons button near the bottom-right corner of your Windows taskbar and locate the CallPotential icon.

2. Right-click the CallPotential icon and select Exit.

Step 2: Check your current software version

Next, confirm which desktop version you are currently running. This determines which installer you should download.

1. Click the Show hidden icons button near the bottom of your screen and locate the CallPotential icon.

2. Right-click the CallPotential icon and select About.

3. Find your current desktop software version in the window that appears.

Step 3: Download the correct installer

Use the version number you just checked to choose the correct download link (.exe file).

Always check your current version before downloading. The version you have determines which link you should use. If you use the incorrect link, you will need to uninstall your software, reinstall the updated version, and re-register all locations.

After you click the correct link, the installer will begin downloading to your computer.

1. In the upper portion of your browser, click the Downloads button.

2. Click the downloaded .exe file. In this example, click CallPotential.exe.

Step 4: Run the installer and confirm your version

1. When prompted, select Yes to allow the app to make changes to your device.

2. Wait for the installer to finish.

3. After the installation completes, repeat the steps in Step 2: Check your current software version to confirm that the new version is now installed.

Troubleshoot a stalled installation

If your installation appears to stall or take longer than expected, follow these steps to resolve it.

1. If the installer seems stuck, you may see this message:

2. Click the Show hidden icons button near the bottom of your screen and locate the CallPotential icon.

3. Right-click the CallPotential icon and click Exit.

4. Return to the installer screen and click Retry.

5. When the download and installation are finished, click the Show hidden icons button again and locate the CallPotential icon.

6. Right-click the CallPotential icon and click Open to launch your updated software.
