The Phone Number & Text Exclusions tool allows you to import phone & text number opt-outs for tenants. This is helpful when migrating from Storable CRM V1 to V2, as it carries over existing communication preferences for those who have already opted out, ensuring both continuity and compliance.
To import phone & text number exclusions, follow these steps:
Click the Settings icon for administrative settings.
Click Phone Number Exclusions Import on the left-side menu.
To ensure proper formatting on the phone & text number exclusions, click the CSV template option.
The .csv template file is downloaded to your computer. You can fill in the fields with your lead and tenant phone & text number exclusions.
The .csv file includes a mapping sheet with require field information. It can be used to ensure correct data entry into the .csv template. The correct phone & text number exclusions template:
The template file includes the following 9 column headers:

If the values for the IsExcludedByUser, IsExcludedByContact, and IsExcludedBySystem fields are set as No, that row will not be imported.
Once your .csv template is ready, click Browse File and select your phone & text number exclusions spreadsheet. Click Import.
We recommend importing a maximum of 2000 - 3000 records; anything more could delay or fail the upload process.
If the import is successful, you will see a success message
If the import is unsuccessful, you will see a failure message. Check to ensure your exclusions list has the same headers as the .csv template file shown above.
If your import fails, it’s likely because of improper file headers or more than 5% of the data was not downloaded. If the correct data has less than a 5% failure rate, it is uploaded successfully. Please contact support for assistance with any exclusion records that were not successfully uploaded.
After the import is successfully completed, you can check that the exclusions for lead and tenant phone and text numbers have been updated. Click here for more information on customer exclusions.
