The Lead Communication Preferences tool lets you import communication settings for lead contact activities. This is helpful when migrating from Storable CRM V1 to V2, as it carries over existing lead communication preferences for those who have already opted out, ensuring both continuity and compliance.

To import lead communication preferences, follow these steps:
Click the Settings icon for administrative settings.
Click Lead Communications Preferences Import on the left-side menu.
Click the CSV template option to ensure proper formatting on the lead communication preferences.
The .csv template file is downloaded to your computer. You can fill in the fields with your lead communication preferences.
Note: The .csv file includes a mapping sheet with required field information. It can be used to ensure correct data entry into the .csv template. The correct lead communication preferences template:
The template files include the following 3 column headers:
FMSLeadID
DisableTexting
Location ID
Once your .csv template is ready, click Browse File and select your lead communication preferences spreadsheet. Click Import.
Note: We recommend importing a maximum of 2000 - 3000 records; anything more could cause a delay or failure in the upload process.
If the import is successful, you will see a success message.
If the import is unsuccessful, you will see a failure message. Check to ensure your lead communication preferences list has the same headers as the .csv template file shown above.
Note: If your lead communication preferences list is not successfully uploaded, it’s likely due to improper file headers or because more than 5% of the data was not downloaded. The data is uploaded successfully if the failure rate is less than 5%. Please contact support for assistance with any communication preference records that were not successfully uploaded.
After the import is complete, you can verify that the exclusions are updated for lead communication preferences.
