Editing Webhooks on Tracking Numbers

Storable CRM

Webhooks are used to transmit data from Storable CRM to third-party analytics platforms, helping you better understand and justify your advertising campaign expenses. Information is sent to a webhook destination (a URL) by mapping a parameter from your analytics platform to either a system or a custom variable in Storable CRM. The purpose of this guide is to explain where to enter that destination URL and identify what information is sent.

You must be signed into Storable CRM’s web version as an Administrator to access Settings and edit a tracking number.

Access

  • (A) Settings - Click to access all your available administrative settings.

  • (B) Phone Numbers - Click to access the tracking number list.

Select a Tracking Number

After clicking Phone Numbers, the list will initially show active tracking numbers.

  • (C) Add a Filter - Click the dropdown to filter by number, associated ad, or location.

  • (D) Search - You can search by a specific number or location. The list will dynamically update as you type.

Edit a Tracking Number

  • (E) Edit - Click to access editing options, including changing a number’s webhook.

Create a New Webhook or Edit an Existing One

This section isn't mandatory; if you aren't using webhooks, you can skip it. However, if you are using webhooks, all of these steps need to be completed for information to be successfully sent from Storable CRM to your third-party analytics platform.

  • (F) Webhooks - Edit the existing or paste a new webhook link in this window. This is the destination where your information is sent. The type of information you send is defined by (G) & (H). Note: Only information that is gathered at the start of the call can be transferred. Examples of this type of information include the caller's name, the number used to make the call, or the location called from. Information gathered during the call or when the call has ended is not transferred. Types of information not transferred include call duration and, if unknown at the beginning of the call, possibly call type.

  • (G) Parameter Name - Enter the specific information you want sent to your analytics platform. Examples of this may include the number used to call from or the location someone called from. Enter that data in this window and follow up with (H) Value. Note: The parameter name you enter here needs to match the parameter name in your analytics platform. If the names don't match, your information will not transfer.

  • (H) Value - Click the dropdown to select the system or custom variable that represents the parameter name you entered in (G). This will pull the information from Storable CRM and ultimately match it to the parameter name in your analytics platform.

  • (I) Add - This becomes enabled when a parameter name and value have been entered. Click to add additional Parameter Names and Values.

Save

  • (J) Save - Click to update the tracking number’s webhook and return to the My Tracking Numbers list.

  • (K) Cancel - Click to discard any edits made to the tracking number and return to the My Tracking Numbers list.
