Collection Communication Preferences Import

Storable CRM

The Collection Communication Preferences import helps you quickly migrate and manage customer opt-outs for collection activities when moving from Storable CRM V1 to V2. Use it to honor existing communication preferences and stay compliant without manually updating each record.

Quick Start
1. Open the Collection Communication Preferences Import page from Settings.
2. Download the CSV template, complete the required columns, and save your file.
3. Upload the CSV file, run the import, and verify that collection exclusions are updated as expected.

For more information on lead communication exclusions, view our help article.

Before you begin

  • Confirm you have a list of contacts and their latest collection communication preferences.

  • Make sure you can download, edit, and upload CSV files.

  • Plan to import no more than 2,000–3,000 records at a time to avoid delays or failures.

Open the Collection Communication Preferences Import tool

  1. Click the Settings icon to open administrative settings.

  1. In the left-side menu, select Collection Communication Preferences Import.

Download the CSV template

  1. On the Collection Communication Preferences Import page, click CSV template to download the latest template.

  1. Open the downloaded CSV template on your computer. You will use this file to enter collection communication preferences for each contact.

The CSV file includes a mapping sheet with required field information. Use it to confirm that your data is entered in the correct columns and formats before importing.

Complete the CSV template

The template file includes the following five column headers. Each row represents a single contact’s collection communication preferences.

  • FMSContactID – Unique contact identifier from your FMS or CRM.

  • DisableCollectionCommunications – Indicates whether collection communications are fully disabled.

  • DisableTextingAndAutoCalls – Indicates whether texting and automated calls are disabled.

  • DisableAutoCommunications – Indicates whether all automated communications are disabled.

  • LocationId – ID of the associated location, if applicable.

Fill in the template with the correct values for each contact and save the file as a CSV when you are finished.

Import the CSV file

  1. Return to the Collection Communication Preferences Import page. Click Browse File, select your completed CSV file, and then click Import to start the upload.

For best performance, import no more than 2,000–3,000 records per file. Larger uploads may take longer to process or fail to complete.

Verify results and troubleshoot issues

After the import finishes, the system displays a status message.

  • Successful import – You see a success message indicating that your collection communication preferences were imported.

  • Failed or partially successful import – You see a failure message if the file cannot be processed.

If your collection communication preferences file does not upload successfully, it is usually due to incorrect column headers or because more than 5% of the records failed validation. Data that passes validation (with a failure rate of less than 5%) is still imported. Contact support for help with any records that were not successfully uploaded.

After a successful import, review a sample of contacts to confirm that their collection communication exclusions now reflect the imported preferences. Click here for more information on managing customer exclusions.
