Delay a Follow-Up when timing changes so your team can keep outreach accurate and aligned with your company’s follow-up process.
Quick Start
Open the Follow-Up list and select the appropriate Lead.
Choose a new follow-up date and reason for the delay.
Confirm the delay, verify the next follow-up date, and save the Lead record.
Prerequisites
You need access to the Follow-Up list and the Lead card. Your management team must enable the delay feature; if the Delay button is not available, you cannot delay the event. Follow your company’s policy when changing a scheduled follow-up.
Delay a Follow-Up
-
Open the Lead card for the scheduled follow-up. Select Delay (A) to open the Delay Follow-up window. If needed, access your Follow-Up list.
-
Choose the new date in Delay Until (B). The follow-up will not appear in your Follow-Up list until this date.
Select a value in Reason for Delay (C). If it appears, update the Extended Expiration Date (D) to reflect when the Lead should expire. This field may not be available for every property management system.
Select Confirm (E) to apply the delay. Verify that Next Follow-up Date (F) shows the new date.
-
Select Save (G) to save and exit the updated Lead record.
